Cannolo

  • Ingredients for 3 people:
    • 3 slices Crust Away bread
    • ½ a cup of sugar
    • 2 egg yolks
    • 1/3 cup of cornflour
    • 1 2/3 cup of milk
    • lemon peel
    • strawberries
    • Icing sugar

  • Prepare the cream: whip the eggs and cornflour with the sugar and lemon peel. In a saucepan, boil the milk and pour it into the other ingredients. Continue to stir with a whisk over a low heat until the cream thickens. Now prepare the cannoli by rolling out the slices of Crust Away with a rolling pin and rolling them up on an aluminium tube. Cook in the oven for 5 minutes at 350° and garnish with the aid of a piping bag. Garnish with strawberries and icing sugar.
